Vulturoid Logo

Vulturoid is music from Chris Bihuniak, an ASCAP award-winning artist. These indie rock songs were all written, recorded and produced by Chris in 2025-2026. The lyrics were inspired by world news, politics, travel and other non-sensical topics written with a sense of humor.

The name "Vulturoid" combines vulture and asteroid and was concocted after seeing black vultures flying in the historic area of Panama City, Panama. While relaxing in a rooftop pool, an actual vulture landed near Chris and stared at him for several minutes.

The two-headed vulture signifies the juxtaposition between humor and pessimism in Vulturoid songs. This is similar to the comedy and tragedy masks that represent the performing arts.

Dugout LP

Dugout is the final album from Vulturoid and was released on Chris's birthday in May 2026. Songs about skin colored clothing, public display of affection and other silly topics will hopefully make you laugh. Demos were recorded in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Final production was recorded in Kansas City, Missouri.

Home LP

The Home Vulturoid album is a continuation of the comedy and concerns of Chris. Demos were recorded in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and final production was completed in Kansas City, Missouri.

Third LP

The Third Vulturoid album was released in December 2025. This album is less political than Second. The songs cover topics about the future of mankind, the first lady, suburban sprawl and more.

Second LP

The Second Vulturoid album was released in November 2025. Most of the lyrics were conceived in the USA, but all of the music was written and recorded in a closet in Panama City, Panama. Many of the songs were inspired by news headlines mixed with satire and mockery.

First LP

The First Vulturoid album was released in September 2025. After turning off the news for several years, Chris decided to get informed about world issues when Donald Trump was trying to get re-elected as President. As we all know, he won and the songs "Orange Man Blues" and "It's A Disgrace" expressed Chris's reaction. The album was written and recorded in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

REVIEWS of Dugout

"Fun For Five Minutes has great chord progressions. Love the liquid guitar lines... you could jam around that. Ha! Mismatched Couples, wow. Seems straightforward then boom, chorus vocals. Is that in 5? The break before going back into the verse is great. Dig where you put Laughs At Your Jokes. Perfect coming out of mismatched. Getting a vibe that it’s thoughtfully organized as an album. This song has a lighthearted sensibility but it’s really serious.   Skin Colored Clothing, again, makes me chuckle at points but the songwriting is serious. I’m loving this. White House, Black Trim brings me back to old school Vulturoid. Is that a thing? Love the programmed drums with the overdriven guita... always been a fan. Now your lead, which is too short, throws me into Steely Dan for a second. I listened to Gaucho before your stuff so it’s fresh on the brain. PDA rocks! I really like how you chose the order of these track. Makes me think of it as an entire piece. Just laughed out loud, great lyrics. Sorry, I can’t pay attention to your great songwriting and arrangement for Implants. I’m laughing my ass off... I live in Johnson county. Holy shit. Selective Friendship might be all pia... waiting for it. Dissonant piano chords in that spot? Perfect. Maybe one of my favorite parts of the entire album. So unpredictable and tasty. Now piano is stumbling in key but fumbling in the end. Dude, I absolutely loved it. Perfect way to end an ALBUM. So happy that your vibrations are in the universe! Congrats." - Brandon M.

"My favorite overall was Skin Colored Clothing, and not just because I was in my bday suit on your bday! I liked dancing to Fun For Five Minutes. A fav musical moment is how the intro to Implant (another top song for me) goes hard - great riff and mix. Also love the sound of the ride crashing at the beginning of PDA." - Luke W.

"I’m just so impressed by your ability to write so many good songs and create completely different projects all the time. Also, it had me wondering if you wrote all of these - and how much of it did you perform and how much was other musicians? Just curious cus it sounds amazing! I laughed a lot and really enjoyed all the songs! If I have to pick my top 2 I will first give some Honorable mentions - Laughs At Your Jokes: I loved the song and how aggressive it got. Loved Skin Colored Clothing as well- the ending was reminiscent of Steely Dan to me- maybe Aja? IDK, but it was really great. Selective Friendship was heart wrenching in a good way - the chords really conveyed the emotions. It was really hard to choose the “best” and maybe these are more “favorites” IDK.
1. PDA Rocks! The riffs are killer and that backbeat made me want to bang my head and dance - really fun song and the guitar tones reminded me of black keys.
2. Mismatched couples was a stondout for me- maybe because it was relatable lol - I loved the lyrics and it really spoke to me on a comedic level .
Really happy you send me your music, I always love listening!" - Thomas A.

COMMENTS on "Melania"
from SubmitHub Hot or Not

"These lyrics are hilarious. Music is lofi breezy indie fun that reminds a bit of Replacements. Good bass tone."

"I like instrumental. Also I like the part, 'I came from Slovenia' haha. Singer voice is good. Different and fresh. Keep going, Melania."

"Funny theme. Very smart and funnily exploited. Music seems a bit too serious for it imho. But it's very well produced."

"I like the topic, very Bo Burmham, could improve with adding some more instruments, but very nice song."

"Please come on Melania! The world need more of this."

"Weird song subject. Sounds honest until the chorus. Interesting idea."

"Me gustan los acordes que son algo distintos a los demás."

"Vocals seems dry, comedy song but too serious. Nice drums just wouldn’t listen to this again with the lyrics."
